Sunday June 17, 2012

On Sunday morning June 17, 2012 we slept in and woke up around 11:45 AM  Pacific Time. I am still not used to the time difference both physically and mentally. LOL  Anyway, we went to meet some of James friends for lunch at Hanna Sushi.  Yes people, I went to a Sushi Resturant.
My lunch started with of course water and tea along with a bowl of Miso Soup.  The best way to describe it is that it looks like dirty water. LOL  BUT, it was very good and I ate the whole thing.  I really did like it alot.

Ok, next came my lunch.  It consisted of Spring Rolls, Sushi Rolls (stuff wrapped in seaweed and rice)  LOL,  Tempura (Battered and Fried Vegetables), Terriyaki Chicken and Salad.  Along with more tea.  It was very good and i enjoyed all of it.  I could not finish the Spring Rolls but james finished them off.

Friends I have made since arriving at Chilliwack, BC.  Starting from bottom left and going clock wise: John, Kyle, Neil, Angela, Telisha, and of course James.  Lunch was a great way to start meeting new people and I am looking forward to seeing them again.  More to come.  Grant

  2. I am happy you are trying new things. Some of these foods will help give you high nutrients to help you.

Miso soup detoxifies the body, prevents certain cancers, increases mental focus and improves digestive and heart health. Usually made from miso, vegetables and tofu, miso soup contains protein, trace minerals and a variety of other nutrients.

Seaweed is also very good for you. Contain iodine, a nutrient that’s important for healthy thyroid and neurological function.

Prevents allergies and infections. Boosts your immune system.
Overflowing with vitamin B, C, minerals and amino acids and anti-inflammatory properties, sea plants enhance resistance to allergies and other infection.
