Hiking at Fragrance Lake in Washington State, Deception Pass Bridge, and Sunset in Bellingham, Washington.

Saturday July 14 , 2012

On this beautiful Saturday morning James Ponak, James Price and I headed into Washington. Today we are going hiking in Bellingham, Washington at Fragrance Lake in the Chuckanut Mountains.  As we got up into the mountains there was heavy cloud cover but that soon cleared up. We hiked around the lake and headed up to the scenic overlook where you can see the Samish Bay and mountains in the distance.  It was alot of fun and great exercise. It may not have been alot of miles but for those who know me, that hike up hill and down hill was a big deal. I did It!!!

On line at the border of Washington and Canada.
James Price and I

James Ponak takes the lead.
Love this picture of the roots of  trees around a rock and then go into the ground. You can get alot of spiritual illustrations and messages form this one.
Fragrance Lake
(I didnt smell anything)
James and James and I were walking by rocky cliffs talking about the movie 127 Hours.
Scenic overlook of  Samish Bay
After the walk back down the mountain and resting we talked about what we were going to do the rest of the day.  So James and James had a destination they wanted me to see so thats where we headed.  We got into the car and drove south to:

Areal view of deception pass bridge.  The bridge is actually two sections. The bridge was made to connect Fidalgo Island to Whidbey Island. The two sections meet on Pass Island. The Bridge at Deception pass is one of the scenic wonders of Northwest Washington.

After Deception Pass we headed to Bellingham, Washington to watch the sunset and end the day.

Thanks for viewing!!
